Material Types for Custom Stickers:

Vinyl:

This is the most common type used by people all around the world due to its price range which fits everyone's budget perfectly. These types of materials have been known for the last five decades or so pretty old, huh? But we can't deny the fact that vinyl still comes as the best option for custom stickers because it's inexpensive and can be printed in any size or design you want.

Sticker paper:

sticker paper is used for printing the stickers. It has a glossy surface. This material does not absorb ink well and hence, cannot be printed on it by laser printers or copiers. Other than that, there are two types of adhesive available for this type of media - permanent and removable adhesives.

Self-Adhesive Vinyl:

This kind of sticker will work with any inkjet printer because it absorbs most inks readily and so can print without precoating (also called pretreatment). Self-adhesive vinyl works best with solvent-based inks which dry faster allowing you to save time when making your production run. However, if overprinting other substrates such as card stock then water-based inks should be used.

Paper:

paper stickers are printed with solvent or eco-solvent inks and can also use UV overprinting for a more durable, longer-lasting surface; the printable area is quite limited so they cannot be cut to shape like die cuts.

The paper sticker will work on any laser printer without precoating; however, it works best when using water-based inks which dry slow, allowing for multiple prints at once before drying time starts, limiting your production speed.

They hold up well against weather and rough handling. But don’t be sure of using it to direct sunlight where you’ll start seeing fading after about twelve months of outdoor exposure. However, things depend on color choice and environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and climatic levels.

How Do You Apply Them?

They are very easy to fix; all you need is a place where stickers can fix (the surface where the sticker goes and the body part). All modern vehicles come with preinstalled stickers. But you can have your own choice and buy them from the market. Elsewhere you can have them from any packaging industry.
